I've always wanted to try Fritz's, but the magnetic pull of that Gates has always been too strong. You should try out Marco Polo's (the cheaper cousin of Jasper's) there on 103rd. They do smoke sausages on a regular basis and their "cheap Italian" is not too shabby for a decent lunch.

And the smell! They sell smoked bacon, ham, even bologna is made on site. They will also smoke any USDA inspected meat, turkey, fish, etc for a nominal fee. They are booked for turkey smoking 2 months before thanksgiving.
