When we take him to Chinese places, and he starts talking to them, the wait staff/owners are always really amused by the white guy talking to them, and immediately bring the "secret" menu. It happens here, where my dad lives in Oklahoma, any place there is Chinese food.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Though for the record- there are lots of places where the "regular" menu features pork and tofu dishes- that's really not that unusual.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I am really excited to try this place now- next time I leave downtown for the 'burbs. But, ...</title><content type='html'>I've known of this phenomenon for 15 years.  But, when I've been interested enough to order the Chinese or, in my case, Korean menu, I've been confronted with 2 things.  1. The server either denies such a thing exists or is rude about it and tries to say that I don't want that. or 2. The menu is in Korean script.  Either way it is not worth my effort.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;When it was worth my effort was when I knew of an item on the Korean menu that I knew they had and that I loved (radish kimchi).
