It's not great by any means, but it's quickly become the favorite lazy Sunday dinner spot for me and my husband. It's close, it's affordable, it's never crowded and they'll serve wine. That's enough for to get me there with the Sunday Times.

Pie is just OK, and a little pricey... Plus, in the summer, the gated patio allows parents to let their kids run wild. You might luck out and get a nice, mellow evening to enjoy a beer or two, but don't count on a Friday or Saturday. The place is fucking Romper Room, and for the most part, the parents don't do much to wrangle the booger pickers.

Definitely agree with you on the atmosphere/location. The pizza's okay, but apparently they serve their wine in plastic cups... now I'm not much of a wine drinker, but if you're gonna serve the vino, you've at least got to have glass. Either that, or don't serve it at all...

It has taken a long time whenever I've gone but I've never been in a hurry. On a late spring or an Indian summer night, it's tough to beat the patio, sipping a Boulevard Wheat and people watching afar the UMKC students.

First off, I think Planet Sub had to move because of development plans relating to the building next door.

When I worked over there, I didn't find Pizza 51 to be a great lunch place because it always took a reeeall long time to get your slice.

One other quibble with the place was that the garlic breadsticks featured regular breadsticks with whole cloves of garlic atop them. They were a pain to eat.

This place kind of annoyed me when I worked over there because I felt it could have been great but it was mostly just a pain in the a**.
